Water-jet assisted liposuction (WAL) with the body-jet®  is a variation on traditional liposuction, which gives dramatic results and can be done under a local anesthetic. The body-jet®liposuction machine pumps high-pressured fluid into the unwanted fat using a cannula. The pressure of the fluid breaks up the fat so more fat can be sucked out than in traditional liposuction, a surgical technique in which areas of fat are sucked out through a small incision in the skin using a cannula and a suction pump. With Water-jet assisted liposuction (WAL) with the body-jet®  less manual pressure is needed to remove the fat and a local anesthetic can be used.
