How does it work?

SmartLipo is only performed under a local anesthetic; a 1mm laser is then inserted through the skin. The laser is heated to 45 degrees centigrade and melts the membranes of each fat cell causing them to break down. The liquid fat is then naturally dispersed by the body over the next five to six weeks while your skin tightens naturally at the same time due to the stimulation of new collagen giving it a finer aesthetic definition.

It makes use of an Nd; YAG 1064 laser that acts directly on the fat cells by destroying the membranes and releasing fatty and oily deposits extracellularly. The laser pulses are released through a fiberoptic and inserted through a thin canula into the fat layer of the skin.

How effective is SmartLipo?
